How It Works

Your verification covers identity confirmation and professional license verification — the basis for your ID Verified designation. Your portable screening report covers background, criminal history, and eviction records — credit review is not part of this option.

Each placement requires 2 months rent + security deposit held in escrow — released to the owner at move-in, with the deposit held through move-out.

A $99 Enhanced Review Coordination Fee supports the additional coordination required per placement.

Property owners receive one designation: ID Verified. On standard screenings, credit records are included in the traveler's portable report. On Enhanced Assurance Option screenings, credit records are not included.

ID Verified — What It Means

The ID Verified designation confirms two things: the traveler's identity has been authenticated by Stripe, and their professional license is active and confirmed through their licensing authority. Portable screening data is provided directly by the traveler — SecuredStays does not run or transmit background, credit, or eviction reports.

Mandatory escrow on each placement holds your first month and security deposit before keys change hands. Lease approval remains with you. You control your listing.
